Danza del Sol is a rustic winery set in a 40-acre vineyard on Temecula's De Portola Wine Trail. It has a tasting room patio open daily, a members' clubhouse, and music and events on the patio.

The Winery's Story

Some of the Valley's Oldest Vines

The estate's vineyards were first planted in 1972 with Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery says it has the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the valley. Danza del Sol is owned by Ken and Tina Smith of the Kentina Hospitality Group, and Justin Knight is the winemaker.

The winery makes Mediterranean-style wines and sells them only directly: in the tasting room, through its wine club and online. The vineyard grows Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Gewürztraminer, Sangiovese, Syrah, Viognier, Orange Muscat, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

Policies

The two official pages disagree about age limits. The policies page says Saturdays are 21+, while the tasting room page says Fridays and Saturdays are 21+. Check with the winery before you bring children.
Children must stay with a parent or guardian and may not sit or stand at the tasting bar.
Only service animals are allowed.
Small snacks only. No outside food or drinks on the patios or in the tasting room, and no outside caterers or deliveries.
Tours and special events are 21+.
