Oak Mountain Winery

Home of Southern California's only mined wine cave.

Oak Mountain Winery sits in the northeast corner of Temecula Valley Wine Country on the De Portola Wine Trail. Its best-known feature is a 10,000 sq ft wine cave carved into the hillside about 104 feet below the vineyards, where you can taste and even dine.

The Winery's Story

A Cave Beneath the Vines

Oak Mountain was established in 2005 by Johnny Leon, who is also its winemaker. The winery describes its cave as the only mined wine cave in Southern California.

Varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and sparkling wine.
