San Diego County Fair

San Diego County's longest-running event, since 1880.

The San Diego County Fair began in 1880 as an agricultural fair and has been held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds since 1936. Each summer it brings music and talent stages, contests, animal and heritage exhibits, more than 100 food booths, and a Fourth of July parade and fireworks.

History

Over a Century of Summer

The fair usually runs from late May or early June through the Fourth of July weekend, and in June it's closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
